This palomino Missouri Foxtrotter is a lovely example of her breed. Foxtrotters are noted for their smooth and ground covering gait, which has made them very popular for trail riding and competitive endurance riding.  The breed was produced by blending American Saddlebreds, Standardbreds, and Tennessee Walkers with Morgans, Thoroughbreds and Arabians. Foxtrotters are not allowed to have any artificial devices to accentuate their tail set or action such as heavy shoes or chains around the fetlock as with other gaited breeds.
